	Feature Albums: Mark Isham - Pure Mark Isham
Scott's Blog Notes: Windham Hill has released another set of collections of works of the label's major artists over the years called "Pure ...." Most of these consist of 14-16 tracks of the artist's most notable works. We'll start our inclusion of these works in our features with Mark Isham - Pure Mark Isham. Click the link to see all of the tracks included on this compilation. For anyone just being introduced to the vast works of Mark Isham, this is certainly a great starter, however, for those a little more familiar, it contains more tracks from one of his finest albums, "Vapor Drawings," than any other, and since that album is most likely to already be in the collection of anyone with at least something by Mark Isham, it will not give a great insight into other phases of his career as one might hope to gain. However you look at it though, these songs are always a great listen whether from this collection or from the original albums, and this new release gives us a reason to revisit this timeless music once again. Also, new on the playlist this week, Paul Avgerinos' latest - GNOSIS, and more from last week's feature artist Between Interval.

Scott's Blog Notes: "A timeless new release, Autumn Continent is a superbly crafted blend of Space Ambient and Electronic Downtempo. Provocative subterranean explorations are balanced with a sense of light from an otherworldly perspective. Between Interval has created an atmosphere that is organic, accessible, and thought filled without the clichés of most electronic music today." Ok, that's the Press Release verbiage on the latest album from Sweedish group Between Interval, and I felt it accurate enough to repeat here. Autumn Continent is a continuous stream CD (no interruptions or silences between tracks - note that we have faded the intros and endings of each cut for our broadcast purposes here) so you get an uninterrupted 73:00 minute Ambient listening experience with the CD. Between Interval albums are related by Spotted Peccary, which has a fine lineup of artists that you are also hearing on Ambient Caverns, including Jon Jenkins, J. Arif Verner, and Dean De Benedictis.
